Best Slice West of the Mississippi
by willworkforfoodII
If you want a slice and want to fill your belly than this is the place to go! For less than $5 you can get the best slice you have ever had and a coke. Nothing fancy about, just good Pizza. The Sauce is right on, and the cheese will stretch from one end of the building to the other. That's not even the best part either, the CRUST is so good that you will be begging for more. But beware, If you go for two slices you better have a friend near by or an endless pit for a stomach. That is what a slice is all about. No where in the state of AZ can you find something of this quality and bargain. When taking home a whole pie, and want to reheat it, turn your oven on to 400 degrees or more and throw it in and you will have the best morning after pizza anywhere! So stop by, I have been for the past four years now, grab a quick sit watch a baseball inning or two.
Fugettabout Magpies!

Simply, THE best New York pizza in Tucson. The crust is perfect (if you get it right there at Upper Crust it will be perfectly crusty and crispy ;... delivered, it will be a slight bit softer but still great) The sauce is perfect. To me, a great indicator of great pizza is how it tastes without any toppings but cheese, and this pizza brings me back to my 18 years I spent in Long Island. I've lived in Tucson for 25 years, and there is no other pizza that compares. They use REAL, high quality cheese and dough, and they are generous with all toppings. If you just stop in for a slice, be prepared for a HUGE slice, a perfectly crispy crust that's not too thin, not too thick, and the perfect amount of flavorful sauce.
Remember, though, this a pizza parlor, a pizza JOINT, not a fancy restaurant with candles and white/ red checkered linen or a fake plastic fountain or murals of "old "Italy". It is like a New York Pizza Joint that you'd encounter on a busy New York street. As a matter of fact, it is located right at the corner of one of Tucson's busiest intersections, Grant/Campbell.
The service is professional, prompt, and friendly.
If you have any respect for yourself at all, please do not order Dominoes or eat that greasy unhealthy assembly line Pizza Hut garbage. Get a perfect pie from Upper Crust.
Pizza Perfection.

Best PIZZA I HAVE HAD IN YEARS
by the_tucson_critic
Forget Domino?s, or Pizza Hut, or any of the chains offering a weekly ?special? Upper Crust Pizza in Tucson is special and you will not regret paying 18 bucks for the tasty pie they will delivery, or let you come and pick up! No, it is not the most romantic place on the planet, but good news for all you book nuts and intellectual types out there- there is a groovy bookstore right across the street that you must not miss while you are waiting for the pie to cook! And for the rest of you, there is a Walgreen?s- anyway the point is this, this is the best pizza I have had in years! My boyfriend is from Chicago and I have lived in New York, and both of us have had good pizza in our life, and I can tell you this is GOOD PIZZA! I would never consider even entertaining a Dominos flyer now that I know how yummy Upper Crust Pizza is, it was an absolute treat. With a little renovation I suppose they could do something about the rustic interior they have going on, and if your looking for a good pizza and romance is the mood you want to set, then order this pie for pick up and set the mood at home. The place itself is not the most romantic on earth, but who cares what it looks like, the pizza is GREAT! Just ignore the way the place looks, and dare to take a BITE, I promise you will fall in love at first bite! Upper Crust is a Tucson treasure, reminding me of a old lover that was not so good looking on the outside but was a absolute KEEPER!
Best slice in my neighborhood (central Tucson)
by tucsongal
I love the (Upper) Crust...........It is really good pizza, huge slices, delicious dough that is the perfect thickness, fresh toppings (i love that they use fresh cut mushrooms, not canned like most places), and lots of cheese. Growing up in New york, i can't even bring myself to eat anythign but great pizza. I know alot of central tucsonans like Brooklyn pizza on 4th ave, and it's okay, but i would choose Uppercrust over Brooklyn anyday because it is less greasy and less floppy. Whether you order a whole pie or just a slice, it's always been the perfect pizza for me. So good!!!

The fool above should be condemned to a life of Tombstone! This place is great! I've been going here since high school and all through college. The sauce, cheese, toppings and the crust are the best I've had in T-Town. Hands down. Long live The Crust!
