This was my favorite pizza while attending the UofA and is the best I've ever had - period. That includes some good pies in Chicago too!

Used to be called Noodles and Crust.

Memories made there have lasted 25 years!

I had the distinct pleasure of working with David in his humble beginnings. It's been many many years since I've been in Az to stop on in but it sounds like the man still puts his heart and soul into his recipes which you all get to enjoy anytime,good for you!!

Nostalgic for Zachary's!

I moved to the Twin Cities recently, but still dream about Zachary's pizza! Every time I get back to Tucson, it's on my list of things to do. I never miss an opportunity for their amazing pizza. It's the best I've ever had, no matter how many cities I've eaten in. Nothing compares. Another reason to visit beautiful Tucson!

• Pros: Tastiest pizza ever!
• Cons: They take a while to bake, so be ready for the (well worth it) wait!

Pizza, The Way Pizza Should Be .... Good, Really Good!

I read about this place and started eating here in the 90's. I really didn't get to know Dave untill I went back to work as a cowboy and then he noticed my hat. I like this place. The best pizza I have ever consumed and great, great brews and conversation that would make an Irish Pub weep with envy! And ROMANCE, well I can tell you what, over that gas fire and a couple o' pints, I have felt more Romantic than I ever felt reading GQ! This is a great place folks! I drive all the way from Prescott to eat there! O.K. Having a daughter and grandson is part of the draw still ..... the best Pizza in Arizona and several other states too!

Best pizza / kind beer deal in town!

I've been to Zachary's dozens of times over the last 5 years and it never gets old. The pizza takes a long time to bake, which gives me the opportunity to have a 24oz imperial pint of my choice of a dozen or so excellent mirobrews and imports. They serve 24oz beers for the same price that other places charge for pints. It's actually worth going there just to get good cheap beer.

The pizza is out of this world. They have a wide variety of toppings, many of which you can't get anywhere else in town. I have taken a lot of friends from out of town and they all love the place.

Also, Z's leftovers are awesome the next day!

Great Pizza

I have been going to Zachary's for the past 10 years when they were on the opposite side of the street and their place was a hole in the wall. Their pizza was the best then and it's still the best in town. I make it a special treat to go to Zachary's for pizza as it's a drive to get there.

I have to say that Zachary's pizza is the best in town. The service is great and so are the prices. You have to have your pizza with Fuller's ESB. This the only place in town that has Fuller's ESB on tap...amazing.

Great Food Bad Service

There's a local saying here, "Great Food, Bad Service".

Not to say it's not worth it, just the opposite. The service is incredibly freindly actually, just make sure you know that it's incredibly slow beforehand!

They have the BEST pizza in town bar none. Oreganos comes in a close second. They are really pizza pies, not your normal run of the mill pizzas. They are cooked to order, take about 40minutes to arrive, and they use the most fantastic ingrediants possible.

Besides great food and slow but friendly service, the location stinks. They were much better off at their old location before the UA forced them to move across the street. I recommend the T-Rex for meatlovers and the 5-Cheese for cheese lovers! Better yet, get it half/half and you get the best of both worlds! Oh, and they have more beers than you can shake a bar glass at.

Two times better

I am in the military and have been to Tucson twice to train Federal LEAs and both times visited Zachary's Pizza. The first, we went on a reccommendation of a Customs Agent, the second, because we knew we had found the best pizza in town. Zachary's is by far one of the best pizzas that I have ever had and I tell anyone going to AZ that it is a "must." I had a great meal there, thanks. bgb.

I HAVE BEEN GOING TO ZACHARY'S FOR ABOUT 13 YEARS NOW AND BEING THE DIE HARD PIZZA LOVER THAT I AM, I BELIEVE THEY ARE HANDS DOWN THE BEST IN TUCSON AND PHOENIX. I HAVE TRIED THEM ALL, LITERALLY. THE STAFF IS WONDERFULLY FAST AND FRIENDLY. THE AMBIENCE IS WARM AND RELAXING. IF THIS WAS NOT THE CASE IT REALLY WOULD NOT MATTER BECAUSE THE PIZZA IS TO DIE FOR. IT IS A DEEP DISH FILLED WITH THE FRESHEST INGREDIENTS FROM THE DOUGH RIGHT UP TO THE GARLIC TOPPING WITH CHUNKS OF TOMATOES AND THE MOST FLAVORFUL CHEESE. THEY DO NOT SKIMP ON ANYTHING. SO FOR THE BEST PIZZA IN TOWN AT THE BEST PRICE, TAKE A TRIP TO ZACHARY'S, YOU WILL NEVER BE DISAPPOINTED.
