I also had a very positive experience at Employment Hotline. They helped me with my resume so that it placed more emphasis on the job that I wanted. They were very friendly and encouraging. At first I was a little concerned because they wanted me to take a temporary position, but it worked out really well in the end. I got to try out the company before taking a permanent position with them. I felt like they were honest and upfront with what they could do for me. It is a tough job market in Tucson and I don't think I would have got such a good job without their help. AND THERE WAS NO FEE! I really recommend them. Ask for Betty.
Pros: Fast, friendly service. Lots of free advice from people who really know Tucson
Cons: Small staff with a lot of applicants

I disagree with the other two reviewers. When I was called it was explained to me that it was a 'free' service, and that the interview times were based on a 'walk in bases'. Yes, I arrived there before other candidates, and yes they were seen before me....however, I noticed that they completed the application quicker than I did, hence being called in before me!!!! I was skeptical that they were advertising false job postings, but I was proven wrong. The interviewer was pleasant and welcoming. We went over what I wanted and discussed if my skills were relevant for the jobs they had. I enquired about the jobs I saw online, although she could not delve any further info, I was told that they would send my resume out once I had made a few changes. I did this thinking anything was worth a try! I sent it in, and that was that! I received a call two weeks later for an interview for one of the positions I had originally applied for. I am delighted to say that I got the job! I am recommending them to all my friends.

I have applied to ads on Tucson Help Wanted com posted by Employment Hotline. If you do get called, you are asked to come in and fill out an application and have a very brief cursory interview with an account rep. This is where the BLACK HOLE comes in. After responding to many, many ads for which I had met or exceeded the criteria, I have yet to gain even an interview with an employer. In fact, I had been "forgotten" about and had to re-apply with Employment Hotline two months after applying with them initially. Don't waste you valuable time with these people. I highly suggest more responsive placement agencies.

This business is very unprofessional, unpunctual, and rude. I ended up asking for my paperwork back and walking out of the place. They give you an appointment then call every person that comes in after you, before you. Then when asked why this it happening, the secretary's response is " first of all there are no appointments." Seems weird to me since I have an email infront of me saying to be there on April 28th at 9:00am. Do they not know the defintion of appointment. I would have had to wait another 45 minutes for them to even try to fix the problem. Who needs this. You are expected to be responsibe, pleasent and punctual but they can get away with not. That's bad business in my book. I would not reccomend this place to people I hate!
