Specialty - Poor , service, . .no . . make it TERRIBLE!. My wife and I went there, and as we walked in, we walked right by two waitresses who said absolutely nothing to us! We stood there for a minute and they didn't say anything, so we asked them, " Are we suppose to seat ourselves?" . . one just looked at us and told us to sit where ever we wanted. We were the only ones in there. We sat there for 10 minutes while the waitresses talked to each other and totally ignored us. I finally went over and asked one if I could get a menu, and she handed me one. Another 10 minutes, and no one ever came over and asked us if we wanted to have something to drink, or whether we were ready to order, . . NOTHING! The wife and I finally just got up and walked out the door, right past the two waitresses, and they never said anything to us! Never tried the food, but if it isn't any better than their customer service, I would expect food poisoning.

Don't go at lunch, you can't get service. Arrived at 11:15 and waited 5 minutes to be seated. Waited 10 more minutes to get a waitress even though we were alone. Went downhill from there. Staff was busy eating so we could not get service. Finally at 11:45 we had our soup and salad, but it didn't taste right. We were at teppan grill with no cook so we decided to leave.

We used to love this place, but in the last year it has changed. The bar service is magnitudes better. I would skip the soup and salad and eat my entree in the bar.

It seems like the soup and dressing recipe has changed for the worse. We will eat entrees at the bar--great Sakura Wine.

I would recommend to anyone... My experience here was extremely enjoyable and memorable. It was my first time at this establishment and went for my birthday to do something special. The staff went out of their way to make sure I had a good time for my birthday and they even did something unique during the teppanyaki. The fried rice was extremely fresh and so was the sushi. It is in a nice location of Tucson as well. Right across the street you can play miniature golf, or hit the arcade.

The chef was very energetic, and extremely skilled during the service. He made us laugh a few times and the waitress was very accommodating and friendly. I give it 5 stars for anyone who enjoys Japanese and Asian cuisine. A definite must-see for me, as one who enjoys both. I recommend it to ANYONE.

Nice service. Went there looking for some good sushi... left with a stomach ache. Sushi wasn't well made, we could not even finish the rolls :(

diarreah central. I was enthralled by the tiki fires. Then when i got the food... interesting. the waitress was veryy nice and then i saw her mopping the floor intensely ( got scared). Anyway... as soon as i got home i had the most intense fierce diarehea i've ever had in my life.

Great Sushi, exceptional service. EXelant customer service. VERY fres Sushi. Every time we've gone here my family has been treated very well, on occasion being greeted and aving sushi dishes reccomended by the owner himself. Te Show style table cooking is also wort seeing and eating, but my husband and I particularly like this place for their reliably fresh and delisious Sushi. I have and will continue o reccomend this place to family and friends.

Amusing. It's fun, but I dont think I'd go back on my bill. As far as pronunciation, fewer people pronounce the name of the road correctly. Tanque Verde: This should be pronounced: Tahn Kay Vuhr Deh, not TANK-uh VerDEE like nearly everyone calls it. It amazes me that living in a city with such a hispanic influence, how so few people pronounce this correctly.

what?. when i moved to tucson, i heard about sakura. people said, "oh there's a good place to get sushi/japanese...its called sakura." I tried it out. WOW, it was really disgusting. I can't even begin to describe how soggy the tempura was or how fishy the fish was. ewww just recalling the meal makes me recoil. now i see the comercials with "Mr. An"...who can't even pronounce "sakura" right...and now i totally understand. also, i should've known any real japanese restaurant does not have an americanized tempan yaki grill. furthermore, mr. an, it's pronounced "saw koo lra" not "sak kew ra."

highly over-rated but fun party place. If you're looking for really good sushi go elsewhere. Nothing here tastes fresh and it seems like every roll has cream cheese in it. If you're going for teppan, fun, and drinks this is a great place. If you want great sushi there's at least 10 other places in town that are heaps better and easier to get a table.
