Quite Good by Matthew B. at InsiderPages

Cheng's does a good job filling the majority of Tucson with tasty and filling Chinese cuisine. They have restaurants all over Tucson and most are just as good as any.

So Rude

by locallover100 at Citysearch

This is was my first time in Cheng's Beijing and I found the place to be attractive and cozy. The food was pretty good and I appreciated the complimentary tea. However, as soon a we payed our bill, this waitress kept hovering right by our table trying to get us leave. We were just trying to finish our tea and our conversation and all we got was dirty looks and a terribly uncomfortable feeling from this girl. I have been in several restaurants with long waiting lines and never had someone be so rude. Huge turnoff!

  • Pros: Food
  • Cons: Bad customer service

Best Chinese food in Tucson!

by lovetoeat79 at Citysearch

This is a GREAT restaurant for the best Chinese food I've had in the states. I travel a lot for my job and I love Chinese food, but a lot of places I go to don't have enough flavor in their dishes. This is so great that Tucson has such good Chinese food for cheap! The prices are amazing for what you get and there is so much variety on the menu. I order the same things every time I go and they are consistent and so flavorful that I often crave their food. They do have specials and my friends have tried them and really enjoy how unique the flavors are. The sesame chicken is the best, and I always order the chow mein and I don't know what they put in there, but it is delicous!

The restaurant has a new, updated and modern decor and I like their dinner plates! It is very casual and I've taken several different friends there and they have all happily returned, Highly recommended, a must have in Tucson.

Cheng's new Beijing joint had so much potential

by desktoptrouble at Citysearch

When Cheng's Beijing opened it was something special. The portions were very nice. The food and quality was excellent after visiting several times in the first two months. 4 months later the floor was dirty and the food was just not the same. The Mango Shrimp that I ordered two months earlier with a visiting friend from Australia was the best shrimp dish either of us had experienced at a Chinese restaurant on either side of the Pacific. 4 months later the shrimp were half the size, less of a portion and fried in old dirty grease making it unapealing. The chicken wings were the same size as we originally experienced but the oil was old and the chicken came out extremely rare in the middle. If you are listening Mr. Cheng please get back to the standards you had when you first opened. We will pay for quality and consistancy.

  • Pros: They know how to cook if allowed to do so
  • Cons: Money saving tactics will close this place
