I love this place!. I love chimichangas and can’t get them any place that does them right. When I’m in Tucson Casa Del Rio is always one of my first stops. You must stop by if you are ever visitng town. It is a must.

A Treasure On The East Side Of Town!. The East side of Tucson has been left out as far as a variety of good Mexican restaurants goes. Thank goodness for Casa Del Rio! The iced tea is fresh brewed, and so refreshing, and wait staff is always available in case they haven't already offered a refill. The salsa is so tasty you might want to eat it with a spoon! Refills are happily given and if you have some leftover, be sure to ask for a plastic cup to take it home in. It is so popular they sell it in various quantities for home use. The chili rellenos are the best in town. The host and hostesses are wonderful. In fact, the host always remembers us by name (even after the few months we weren't around). Bathrooms are always clean (an item that is usually left off reviews, but that I find very important!) I do, however, miss the seasonal wreath they used to have displayed.

TERRIBLE MEXICAN FOOD. WITH THREE PEOPLE AT OR TABLE WE ALL AGREED THAT WE DISLIKED THE SIMPLEST OF MEXICAN DISHES...TACOS. THE SHELLS SEEMED TO BE THOSE YOU PURCHASE AT THE GROCERY STORE IN A BOX. THE BEEF AND CHICKEN WERE WAVERING ON BAD WITH ALL THE SIDE DISHES SEEMING TO TAKE ON THE SAME TASTE. THE CHILE RELLANOS WERE GOOD BUT,NOT GOOD ENOUGH TO BRING ME BACK. JACK-IN-THE-BOX WOULD HAVE BEEN FASTER AND BETTER IN MY OPINION.

Disappointingly bland food. We read great reviews about the food here, but we were surprised to find everything was really bland and boring! The salsa was ok but some of the mildest I've ever had and the meat seemed to have very little flavor too. Ditto for the guacamole (although to be fair my friend claimed he found a little spice in his rice). When we asked if they had a spicier salsa we were offered Tabasco sauce - excuse me, for Mexican food? It wasn't just the hot factor we missed though- there just seemed to be very little seasoning in the food at all! The chips were probably the best part of the whole meal, really thin and crispy.

Overall, it was ok but very unimpressive. There are many great Mexican restaurants in Tucson and we won't be coming back here.

Slow service. "Okay" food. Horrible management. The service was horrible. We were barely getting our drink order taken when the table next to us received their food. (Please note that we were both seated at the same time!) The food arrived cold - except for one plate. The server was pre-occupied with her personal business the entire time and the management was unapologetic.

Better food and quicker service at Taco Bell.

Best Shredded Beef Tacos in Town. While the Decor isnt the greatest, they have the best salsa anywhere. Their xhredded beef tacos

are worth driving any distance to get! I have eaten tacos all over the country and several continents and I have to rave over casa del rios tacos as the best of the best ,and i concider my self to be a taco expert, so if you love tacos you`ll want to go here. My wife likes the chili rellanos the best and we both agree the salsa they make is heads above most mexican restaraunts and Virginia is a wonderful hostess, thanks casa del rio for being down the street.

Great East Side Place To Eat. Great come as you are Eastside Easy Dining. The food is prepared fast and served nice and hot. Refills on everything come quickly and you rarely have to ask. Friendly staff, very neat and clean. Wonderful for a fast lunch while working. Priced Right!

Simple, but great!. Hard to leave without a to-go box - you won't want to leave anything behind. The portions are generous, prices very reasonable, and service is excellent.
