I've lived here for over five months and it's horrible. The property manager is rude. I put in a maintenance request and it took over a week to get completed. When I called the front office and inquired about it, the property manager was trying to talk over me instead of listening to why I was irritated that the order had not been completed. When I questioned her about when it would be completed she said she wasn't sure and that it depended on how much work the maintenance guy had to do. It wasn't nice put either. She was extremely rude.
I complained to her boss but apparently nothing was done or said to this person.
On another occasion, I requested that maintenance take a look at an issue I was having with the AC...apparently anytime the neighbors have their A/C on then it vibrates my apartment. This request was put in three weeks before it actually got fixed. I talked to Jim first with the original request and then one of the new chicks. Finally, I talked to the office manager and she got maintenance to fix the issue...yeah after three fricken weeks of an irritating vibration because of the neighbor's A/C being on.
I also paid rent with my credit card for the past two months. I went in today to pay it with a credit card and the front office response was 'Did you sign up for Flex pay?' My response was no..what is flex pay and why would I need to sign up if I've been using my credit card. Well, flex pay is a $5.00 charge that The Foothills adds to your monthly lease amount regardless if you use your credit card or a check for the remainder of the lease. This is something new that was not put in my lease so it shouldn't be legally binding. These people are crooks. I could see paying a $5.00 charge each time I use the card but not every fricken month when I'm not using it. I inquired with the property manager about why I would be charged this if Jim didnt charge me the previous month. Her dry response...'I don't know'.
My advice to potential tenants is don't even bother with this place. Maintenance and the front office is horrible. If you want something done, then you have to continually nag. The front office staff have changed minus the property manager...unfortunately she's still here.
The laundry facility would be nice if the dryers worked on every single occasion that I've used them. Sometimes the dryers don't work but there isnt an out of order sign so the unsuspecting tenants end up using them and realizing that they don't work once the cycle stops running.
Also, I love the smell of weed from my neighbors. I've mentioned this before as well but nothing has been done. I've complained about my noisey neighbor playing Rock Band all times of night really loud but to no avail. These people don't care about their tenants. All they care about is the almighty dollar. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy!
One last thing...the community is gated but most times the gates are open which creates a really unsafe environment when anyone can stroll into the complex.
Great working with them. I appreciate all your help, Sandi. You've been a real pro. This is especially appreciated when, as a landlord, I've lived out of state and have had to rely fully on your advice and support. It's been great working with you!
Please do not rent from this company. This is a very dishonest company. We rented temporarily as we were looking to purchase a house. We had moved from another state. Unfortunately, after we signed the lease we found out from many people that the owner and company have a very poor reputation among realtors and prior tenants. We experienced it 1st hand. There were always problems that were never remedied and once we moved out Foothills kept our security and wanted more from us. We are currently looking into filing a complaint at the state level. Under no circumstance should you rent from these people.
