We ate at the Neo of Melaka on Broadway, not the one on River:
Service: Waited 12 minutes for order to be taken and after eating, waited 10 minutes for check.. only 7 tables occupied in restaurant and 3 wait staff on duty.
Food: Ordered white fish in Lemak curry. Sauce was thin and watery and had no lemongrass or coconut flavor. Potatoes in it were "old" having been cooked way ahead. The fish was a nice flavor but was overcooked and rubbery. The other dish we had was Mee Goreng noodles. These should have been made with lo mein noodles but were with a thicker, noodle more like one for Udon. The dish was quite flavorless and had big wedges of tomato in it.. which was unusual. Neither dish was at a high enough cooking temp which is always a concern.
We will not be back nor recommend this restaurant.

Fantastic.
This place is is a hidden gem. The food is outstanding and the decor is very relaxing. This is some of the best Malasian/indonesian food one only finds in big cities. The hot and sour soup is the best I have ever had anywhere, and that would include Chinatown in Washington DC and San Francisco. The curry dishes are to die for!
