Watch out!. I came to this place (on Speedway) because they appeared to be reputable, qualified, and fair. I WON'T be returning, and this is why: They figured out the problem after spending an hour on it (luckily, free!), and offered me an out-the-door quote to get it fixed. I thought it seemed way over-priced so I did my research online and took my vehicle back to get a second opinion. The guy claimed that they install very high quality parts, with a warranty, hence the price. The rebuild of this part was to cost way more than a brand new part (weird, I thought). I instead went to Simmons 4x4 in south Tucson. They gave me a quote of a little more than a third of the cost of Aastro! They performed the work the NEXT day and actually charged me less than the quote! This saved me nearly $500 on a fairly simple fix. I'm pretty sure AAstro takes advantage of those who know little about vehicles or cost (I was given the quote before demonstrating my knowledge). DO YOUR HOMEWORK, AND GET A SECOND QUOTE!!! CHANCES ARE, YOU WILL GO ELSEWHERE!!!

Great service...VERY HONEST. I have been meaning to write this for a couple of months now because I had such a wonderful experience with Aastro Transmission. I live in San Diego and drove to Tucson for my grandma's 90th birthday, As i pulled into town, my transmission went out on my 2003 Cadillac CTS. I was at a loss on finding a repair shop. It was Friday at 6pm. I found Aastro on the recommended service provider list for AAA and had my vehicle towed there 1st thing Sat. morning. I had to be back at work Monday. My transmission line was broken and all the fluid had drained from the system. Aastro had the vehicle running again by noon on Saturday. They were honest and did not try to do additional work on my car when they knew I was DESPERATE!!

I highly recommend them!

Great Shop!. Having a transmission problem sucks! But, because I did, I found AASTRO Transmissions and Auto Repair on Speedway. Jimmy is great! I never would have known that I could have all my vehicle needs handled there. I'm glad I know now because, it's good to have someone to trust.

thank you aastro..thank you james. i took my sisters acura to a garage(i wont mention the name) because it was shifting very hard. i was told it needed a transmission rebuild and it would cost 3700.00 i try to help my sister out.....but 3700.00 is too much. a friend told me to take it to james at the aastro on speedway for a second opinion. james found a electronic switch under the shifter covered in sticky soda that she had spilled a few weeks earlier. it cost 200.00 to fix the car and get my sister back on the road. i could not be more pleased and i will send all my friends and family to aastro!!! thanx james
