Shady characters at best. This is either the most poorly run business I've ever dealt with or they are just morally bankrupt. In a recent Ebay transaction I paid for a computer and ended up being shipped something different and cheaper than advertised. When I put the transaction in dispute, they contacted me by phone and agreed to mail me the proper components if I would mail them back the components that were mis-advertised. But they couldn't mail them out until I first dropped the dispute. Stupidly I did and they send me a bogus USPS tracking number for what they promised to ship me.

To this date I have not received my "Priority Mail" and my emails have not been answered. I will not phone their support department again because "Marlin" lied to my face with all the skill of slick politician.

They have the audacity to claim they are top rated. How so, when they pull two frauds in a row on a customer? Please $199 Computer Store, take me to court over these remarks, I have the documentation to prove everything I claim and you know it.

P.S. I am not stupid. I am a mature college educated male that made the mistake of trusting people on their word.

DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE UNLESS YOU FEEL EXTREMELY LUCKY OR CAN AFFORD TO PURCHASE ANOTHER COMPUTER.

AS OF OCTOBER 24TH, I AM AMENDING THIS REVIEW, BUT ONLY WITH RESERVATIONS.

After contacting Ebay and following up on my shipment of replacement parts by email, Barbara from Customer service emailed me back and stated the shipment had after all NOT BEEN SHIPPED and with sincere apologies mailed it out. It arrived with everything I asked for to make the change out of components, except for a system disk. After contacting them again, the disk was sent.

I'm not sure they made this right because I contacted Ebay or their shipping department is so disfunctional that they need several attempts to get things done correctly or as in my original premise, they are just not very forthright in their dealings.

THAT BEING SAID, THEY DID MAKE THINGS RIGHT AFTER A MONTH OF HAGGLING.

It is still my opinion that this company does not meet the customary standards of a company doing business on the internet. Yes, I did get a solid laptop at a good price, but I'd be very cautious about doing business with them again.

$199 Computer Store, if your shipping department is that disorganized its going to cost you thousands of dollars in revenue and earn you a very poor reputation in the Ebay community and eventually kill your business.
