While out on a Sunday drive through Santa Cruz County, we stumbled upon one of the best kept secrets of Southern Arizona. The Steak Out is at the crossroads of downtown Sonoita, just an hour drive from Tucson. I have traveled the world sampling steaks and I must admit that the mesquite broiled T-Bone I had at the Steak Out was one of the best I've ever had. The service was friendly and effecient and the live country music was an added bonus to an already authentic, western ambience. I can't wait to make the trip back down for another enjoyable evening.

I am from Kansas City, Mo, the beef capital of the world. As much as I love Jess and Jims, Golden Ox Black Angus, etc., the best steak I have ever put in my mouth is from The Steak Out in Sonoita, AZ. I have eaten there numerous times and the quality is consistently the very best. Great atmosphere, great music, great food, great people! What else do you need?
