Tucson >Sushi On Oracle
A hidden gem. This place is great. It's the only Japanese place I have ever been where they serve complimentary edamame and miso soup. I've had a few sushi rolls which were a bit sloppy and the fish wasn't very fresh, which is why I only gave them 4 stars. However, if you get the right rolls and/or come when their fish is fresh, it's really really good. The atmosphere is cozy, which I love. It's very small though, which makes it a bit difficult to find a seat during their peak hours. Still, this is definitely my favorite sushi place in Tucson.
Sushi On Oracle is my favorite place and it's great.
Sushi On Oracle is one of the finest sushi places. Bar none! The sushi is amazingly fresh! My husband ,a retired US Marine, has eaten sushi in many Asian countries. Sushi on Oracle is the one restaurant you will see many military personal eating on a regular basis! It is as close to the real thing as you will get without being in another country!
In an economy where one might be penny pinching, this is the place to go. The prices are extremely affordable and the people are WONDERFUL at taking care of their guests! It feels like "CHEERS!" The service is good, the choices are amazing and the oysters are the freshest I have ever had without being on the coast!
I love this restaraunt!
One of the best in town. I love coming to Sushi on Oracle. Granted the place is small but the food is fantastic. The people there are very friendly. And the service is great I would highly recommend this place to anyone even families with children.
Not that great.
You must be nuts to think that you can get good sushi in Tucson. Unfortunately we had come in when the master chef was on break and was served by an apprentice. I specifically asked for fresh Uni if it looked good. He said it was and when it arrived it was dull in color and slimy. Sea Urchin is delicious if it is served within 5 days of harvest. This was more like 14.
My date ordered a salmon roll that was messy and difficult to handle with chop sticks. I would not recommend this for a first time sushi experience. Stick with the frozen items like crab, eel, etc. serving sizes were fine, sort of had some charm but was disapointed in the rookie's preparation. I will give it another chance and get back to you.
