Tucson >Red Sky Cafe Catering
What a disaster - Chef didn't care.
My wife and I are new Tucson residents and decided to give Red Sky a try on a Thurday night. It was an unmitigated disaster! The table next to us was never cleared after the last diners. The waiter took our appitizer/wine order never to return until he came with the entres with the appizer plates and empty wine glasses still with us. He used a dirty napkin from the next table to pick up the entre plates. My entre was stone cold. Waiter brought a small wine carafe but didn't pour it. Finally came for deserts but left out the daily special. We called the chef and he acted as if he could care less saying he had the 2nd tier staff.
You will not find me going back. The chef's attitude was unacceptable.
Another Great. This restaurant is excellent. The waitstaff is attentive, but stay out of the way. The food is so excellent. I highly reccommend the salmon with garlic mashed potatoes. And for an appetizer, the greens/tomatoes/mozzarella dish is excellent as well. Every dining experience I have had there has been excellent. If you go between 2-4 you'll have the whole place to yourself. Any later you will need reservations.
WOW! Amazing food:Amazing price. I've known about Red Sky Cafe for about two years now, but it has recently occured to me that the word is not getting around. This is one of Tucson's real hidden tresures! Slightly off the beaten path but still very acsessable, Red Sky Cafe offers true affordable execelence. Generous portions, uncompromising quality, and casual hospitality combined with true proffesionalism make this an unforgetable restarunt.
