Restaurant fraudulently charged CC. If I could give this restaurant 0 stars I would! Went there last week. Restaurant was empty yet service was AWFUL! We had 3 different servers, none of which introduced themselves. Food was way overrated. When manager came over just to see how food was I said mediocre and he said "Terrific, I am glad the food is great". Last time I checked mediocre is not great. After waiting 10 minutes for the bill, I gave the server my debit card, waited over 7 minutes for him to return. I signed the credit slip for $20.50 and left. The following am I checked my bank account and found 3 charges from Zinburger, none of which were the amount I signed for. Called my bank to see what was going on. They verified that my card was swiped 3 different times. They advised me to put a fraud alert on my card. I then called the restaurant spoke with a manager who was extremely apologetic and said she would fix the charges and Doug the GM would call me Monday am. I was satisfied. Monday 4pm still had not heard from Doug and still had all these charges on my account. I called and asked for Doug who came to the phone and said "Oh I meant to call you today" I explain everything to him. He promises me it has been taken care of and will drop off my account. He confirms this with an email to me and tells me to keep him posted by Thursday. Tuesday still have 2 of the 3 charges. My bank says if 1 has fallen off the others should have too and probably will not. I email Doug and inform him of this and he says "The charges WILL fall off." He says to contact him Thursday. I agree. Thursday I email him because now the charges are no longer pending but final, he writes back saying it is his day off, he will call my bank Friday. I tell him I want to speak with his boss. At this point I am furious. His boss Amber calls and she has all the emails that have been exchanged and says she is going to investigate and get back to me. She does and tells me Doug was incorrect and the charges were never removed. I asked what was going to be done, she says she credited the amount back and would make this a learning lesson for Doug. UNACCEPTABLE! He was rude and disrespectful and the company refuses to do a thing about it. Doug called me the next day and was so rude to me until I finally hung up on him. I asked to speak with the restaurant owner and no one has made that happen. I will never go back to any FOX restaurant again. They stole from me and that is all there is too it.
Another crappy Tucson eatery. Sam Fox is a protégé of Bob McMahon and did not do his homework. Overpriced, too hip for me kind of food. Their sauce restaurants serve a saltine cracker with a wimpy sauce and call it a pizza. These people are suckie at food.
Don't sit on the seats!!!. The food can not compensate for the service! I was a VERY loyal customer and a big fan. But the way I was treated the other day was uncalled for! The floor was so slick that my foot slipped out from under me as I walked from the bar to the patio where my friends were seated. I fell flat on my face and my drink went all over the table next to me as well as all over me. The management asked if I was ok but never offered to get me a new drink. They offered the table next to me gift cards and t-shirts while I sat outside soaked in red wine! In addition another family seated next to us let their two year old urinated on the seat cushion. We told the server and all they did was flip the cushion over! Needless to say, we will not be going back!
Great burger with a great glass of wine. This is a great casual place for a good burger with extras that include a nice glass of wine. The burger selections are interesting and the wine list is excellent for a burger joint but the wine prices are inflated. Very casual dining, we went early and were surprised at how many families were enjoying an early dinner, crowded with difficulty parking in the crowded lot.
Bistro Zin Is No More. Bistro Zin closed and reopened the fall of '07 at Zin Burger, a fusion wine/burger restaurant. Great burgers and fries. Small menu but good choices.
Wife's Favorite. Zin is my wife's favorite place. The food is always excellent; the service good; portions just right. The seating can be crowded, but if you get a booth or sit on the patio, you get more space (specify when making reservations is my tip). I like the wine flights and the desserts are irresistable. The price, overall, is not too bad. Parking can suck though, so plan to valet.
Too Crowded. Very tough to sit at tables if diners have any size at all. A bit pricey for my budget, but the desserts are outstanding. Horrible parking at the plaza.
AWESOME!. My wife and I went to Bistro Zin around August 2003 after i had returned from being deployed with the Army National Guard for a year. In fact, we were also celebrating our 9 year wedding anniversary. Our waiter had asked us why we came that night and we informed him. The service we recived was phenominal and there wasn't any waiting for food or drink. When the waiter brought our dessert, my wife and i was amazed. The waiter had remembered that we were celebrating our anniversary, and the plates were decorated accordingly. Written in chocolate on the lip was Happy Anniversary. They get 10 stars. Good Job.
