Located in a quiet desert environment on the far north side of Tucson, Miraval delivers a tranquil and healing experience devoted to living in balance and mindfulness as a way of life. The setting is serene and beautifully landscaped with desert vegetation, wildflowers, palms and a Zen garden. Secluded casitas showcase views of the western spur of the Catalina Mountains.

The Details
While the multitude of healing options implies serious discipline, this is not a place for regimented schedules. Each stay is customized to individual physical and spiritual needs and takes advantage of an expansive range of treatments, including aloe wraps, acupuncture, hydrotherapy, Trager, Chi Nei Tsang, Shiatsu and various kinds of yoga. Not surprisingly, the menu of massage options is comprehensive--Thai massage, hot stone and acupressure, to name but a few--and facilities include a tri-level swimming pool with cascading waterfall. Additionally, guests have access to a horse stable, and hiking and biking opportunities abound.
