Great food..sometimes good service. I have never had bad food at Fred's but have had both great service and horrible service. It has not, however kept me from returning; I just tip accordingly. One Sunday morning I was told they were out of Biscuits and Gravy only to see some regulars served a nice plate of them as we were leaving. The pizza is good, but Range Pizza up the road is better. I live about 10 miles from Fred's so it is convenient; honestly I don't think it is worth a drive from Tucson.

great food and service depending on day. sooo we have been to fred's a few times. i have to agree with the last person with how we were treated. but we decided to go there tonight out of convience. we were definitely pleasantly surprise!! the service was GREAT, the food even better!!! i have a rather loud 13 month old son and nobody even noticed over the hootin for the new york/ angels game. the waitress was great. very friendly and came to our table very fast and brought the food out very quick also. overall its a great place. and honestly most three points people are a lil obnoxious and definitely have lots of time on there hands!!! lol

Awesome food but service lacking. After going to this restaurant a number of times it saddens me to have to add this one to the boycott list. The first bad experience was sitting in a booth for 45 minutes and not being acknowledged while three tables around me were waited on and even served food. I never even got a smile. I let that one slide, and returned again, but after today's rude and unjustified comments from the bartender I have decided it is time to find another watering hole. It seems the staff here is only interested in serving the regulars and even feels a little ownership when it comes to deciding who to serve or even treat politely. They definitely know how to make you feel like an outsider and unwelcome.

With that said I think that Fred's serves an awesome steak and has really pleasant accommodations. There is a beautiful outside area with a real "country" feel. The inside is large and accommodating for large groups. The grill in the middle of the restaurant adds to the ambiance.

If you're just looking for a good meal and nice surroundings, don't mind the really poor service, and have plenty of time, this is the place to go.
