Great place to people watch!. The Nugget is the king of dive bars. If you're looking for a strong drink at a cheap price then this is your place. The bartenders are friendly and can make just about anything. If you're looking for a drink menu this isn't the place for you!

Golden Nugget Review. A great place to hang out. During the day's, it's mostly the older folks who sit and chat. Around 5 p.m., the workers get off and realx with a few drinks. Happy Hour prices are good until 7 p.m. The younger and college students start showing up around about 10 p.m. By 11 p.m., the bar usually fills up with folks playing pool, shuffle board or chatting with their friends.

Combine '70s-style paneling and linoleum flooring with a diverse clientele, and you have the "World Famous Golden Nugget.". The Scene
There's no trend consciousness here. Harley-clad biker-types share time and space with khaki-wearing hipster-yuppies, while tattoos and piercings of every size, shape and color look right at home. Happy hour reigns supreme as blue- and white-collars swap war stories, play pool, darts, or pinball, and eye the competition.

The Booze
Whatever your poison, you'll find it at the Nugget's horseshoe-shaped bar. Enjoy a shot of Patrone or Hornitos, or add a splash of sweet or sour to a glass of Jack or Makers Mark. While draft selection is strictly domestic (Bud, Bud Light, Coors), beer connoisseurs can enjoy a nice bottled selection, including Bass, Dos Equis, Amber Bock, Fat Tire, Harp, Guinness and Molson.

While You're There
Don't miss the chance to challenge someone to a game not often seen in these parts: shuffle board.
