In Short
The menu lists more kinds of omelets than you have fingers and toes; they're bulky and are accompanied by toast, fruit and your choice of potatoes or rice. Most of the breakfast menu is served throughout the day, which may divert you from substantial lunch and dinner offerings such as quiche, crepes, soup, and vegetable and rice dishes. Don't fill up because you'll need room for dessert; pies and cakes are baked on the premises. On your way out, be sure to stop in the gift shop.

While the food was par, the service was slow, and i felt more like an intruder than a customer. You get over the charm of the gift shop after you've waited for an hour plus in the poorly-ventilated, swamp-cooled, over-priced closet only to be seated by an unprofessional looking hostess that was neither organized or friendly. Once seated, it took 15 minutes to be approached by one person, who passed the drink order on to someone else who got it wrong. There was lettuce on my coffee cup and the food was good, not great- my eggs were sort of soupy and the toast was burnt. I had heard positive things, but after my last experience I don't dare giving this place a second chance.

I am visiting Tuscon and asked the front desk at the hotel for ideas about a vegetarian restuarant for my wife's palate. The Blue Willow was recommended and we both had a delicious meal. The atmosphere is comfortable and the prices are fair. My only complaint is there seemed to be some confusion who was waiting our table and it took a very long time to get approached...almost to the point I left. Observing other tables, this did not seem the norm so I do not this this is typical. Once a server can to the table, they were pleasant and the food was brought out in a reasonable time. If you have not tried Blue Willow yet and you are from Tuscon, do go, what a treat!

The gift shop in the front always has unique gift ideas that are perfect for birthdays or other occasions and it is a great waiting place (because there will be one when you get there). The food choices are not what you would typically expect but they are great and if you hit a nice time of the year I would recommend sitting outside, they have a very nice patio area.
