FOOD AND SERVICE SUCKS!. Went to Karuna's with my friends. The whole dinner experience was a disaster!!!! First, So hard to find the restaurant as the signage was not lited up!!! Then the lady serving us didn't even give a damn while taking our order. She was doing a half F*** Job, looking back while we were making an order. SOOOOOO RUDE. Then she just grab the menu and walked off, didnt even bother whether we are done with the order!!!! Adding more, she served us hot water with so much of white particles in the cup of water, wen questioned, she said, its from the same pot! What an excuse!!!! Then came our order... She just left them on the table and didnt bother giving the food to the respective person whom have ordered the dish!!! Damn POOR service!!!! To end our disastrous day at karuna, there came the bill which didnt match any of the price listed in the menu. When questioned, she mentioned that the menu given to us was not updated!!!! They got no $$$$ to change the menu and handed us a pamphlet menu to tally against the bill... The waitress got agitated when we questioned abt the bill.... Then the teenage gal behind the counter answered us very rudely... What the HELL with them serving customer in such a manner!! We eat for $40 but the bill came up to $68!!!! Robbery!!!!!! Service tax 20% becoz group of SIX, In fact it was four adult and two kids less than 4 Years Old!!! What a way to pay for such a terrible service!!!! So to all reading this review, The FOOD & SERVICE Sucks big time!!!! You can get better service and food elsewhere! Moreover the place is dirty too, more like a round down place......

good buffet, recommend the fried rice. a lot of the dishes are pretty good. most of the customers end up ordering pad thai over and over again. branch out and ask the server for recommendations or just try something else. The Tom Yum is pretty good, as is the Gang Matsumunt (sp?).

The fried bananas and coconut ice cream are pretty good desserts. Usually they're out of the ice cream though.

the owner is matter of fact, but she's friendly if you're one of the customers that doesn't just order pad thai all the time.

Cheap, Fresh, Tasty Thai Food. Karuna's Thai Plate is a very good place to get cheap Thai food. While the service isn't "cheery" per-se, the food is plentiful and tasty.

I've been here a number of times (most recently in early September, 2007) and everyone in my party has always enjoyed their food. The owner often serves and could be more friendly. She's mostly matter-of-fact. But I've always had fairly prompt and accurate service.

The decor is ok, kind of Thai Diner...
