Rick Paul. Romamtic and best food in town. Beleive me its worth it to stay there. Anoung the best in the world. Not full service mind you but the best feel.

A classic and intimate 1940's era guest ranch.. The Scene
Set in the desert landscape of the Catalina foothills, Hacienda Del Sol was one of the original guest ranches in the Tucson area. During the 1940s and 50s it was a favorite destination for Hollywood luminaries filming nearby in Old Tucson--legend has it that Spencer Tracy and Katherine Hepburn consummated their affair here--and in the mid-1990s it was rescued from obscurity with a loving resurrection of its former luxury and glamour.

The Details
What was once the remote end of Tucson saw considerable development during decade leading up the millennium, but the grounds of the ranch are still redolent with the mood of a bygone era. Along with horseback riding and spectacular sunset views from the pool and highly rated Grill restaurant, traces of the old southwest can be found in the ranch-style decor that incorporates old photos of the property, western artwork and a stunning cowboy mosaic on the bottom of the swimming pool.
