The Scene
Tucson's premiere traditional French restaurant is (thankfully) uncontaminated by American nouvelle trends. Crisp white tablecloths cover dark wood tables. Smartly dressed waiters wheel dessert carts around offering an array of sweet ends to a meal that is sure to transport you to the French countryside.
The Food
The menu teams outstanding French classics from satiny pat?s and creamy vichyssoise to a finale of flaky pastries. A sweetness dresses tender meats with Calvados brandy and slices of apple in the veal medallion dish. The rack of lamb for two is a generous helping of well roasted, medium-rare meat. The delicate sole meuniere is lightly breaded and perfectly flaky. A lighter spa menu offers a grilled vegetable plate and a simply prepared dish of grilled swordfish. Finish your meal with an airy Grand Marnier souffle.

Le Rendez Vous is housed in a Mexican-style building, but don't let that fool you. The cuisine is all French and very delicious. This is a great place for a special dinner, whether it be a date or anniversary. The setting is romantic, and the wait staff is friendly, knowledgeable and present a clean and polished appearance. The food is absolutely fantastic! Last time I went, I had the escargot, the duck (l'orange) and souffle. They also brought a lovely bottle of wine to the table, serving it as they would in any good restaurant in France. Fantastic meal, a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for!

Our favorite place to dine with friends on special occasions or "no special occasion." Always friendly staff, great food and relaxing atmosphere. Great variety of food with something new to try. Not to be missed.

After living in Tucson for almost 6 years, I finally made it to Le Rendez-Vous and was pleasantly surprised. The food is top notch and the staff made us feel welcome. The best part was not being rushed and encouraged to stay as long as we like and enjoy the feast. Unlike most French restaurants I've been to, you don't leave Le Rendez-Vous hungry.
