With its kid-friendly vibe, booth seating and late-night hours (most stores are open 24 hours), Denny's draws night owls, seniors and families with kids. The menu sticks to classic American staples: wings, chicken strips, burgers, salads and the like. But breakfast is king, with specialties ranging from skillets, egg scrambles, French toast platters and several variations on the famous Grand Slam: two buttermilk pancakes, two eggs, two bacon strips and two sausage links.

processed hash browns - a common phenomenon in tucson. i know, it's just denny's for goodness sake! fast food at it's best perhaps, but maybe one day, someone with the capacity for independent thought, one who appreciates the joy of food and the creativity possible with cooking, one who has a desire to please the palette, will take some fresh potatoes, chop them up, and fry them on the griddle with onions. they may turn out a little differently each time, but, oh, wouldn't that be a delicious treat! real home fries! yummy! you won't get this at denny's.
