Catch up with the 21st Century!!!!. We went there for a birthday dinner on Sunday, April 17th and will never go back again when there are a lot better places in Tucson to go eat a steak. The service was very lackluster and had to ask for everything. The prices are way too high and my grandson fell off his booster seat because they are too cheapp to buy modern ones like every place does in Tucson! When my wife confronted the manager about the safety of the seat she said , " Oh my is he alright"? Well we expected a different reaction to the situation.

Skip thios place in the future folks and go to El Corral, Texas Roadhouse or Sullivan`s!!!

Don't Bother. Went there after getting recommendations such as some of these. The atmosphere is nice but the food was terrible! Steaks are absolutely awful! I tried the filet mignon and my husband tried the T-bone. We are from Texas and know a good quality meat. Don't bother. If anyone has a Good suggestion, please provide. Still looking for that perfect steak in Tucson (new in the area). For now, the Rib Eye at Texas Roadhouse is great!

Touristy? Yes, but the steak is great.. I avoid going to Pinnacle Peak on any night that could be popular among the tourists... trying to get a table, and then actually enjoying your meal, is virtually impossible in an atmosphere clogged by tourists.

But if you're blessed enough to get there early and on a "off" night, the salad is quite good, the steaks are great, and it's a fun night for my friends and I.

Over stepping the line. While the food at Pinnacle Peak is every bit of what you pay for I have to say the 'tie cutting" needs to be rethought. My first encounter in the establishment cost me a $1000 silk tie without warning. I walked in the front to make a few querries as to availablility for a party of 20+. The individual who was the focus of my questions quickly reached across the intervening space and sliced off my tie without any form of warning. This having been my first time to this establishment I felt that doing so was completely out of line. I had to pull myself up short not to immediately strike this individual who had stuck a sharp object near my throat without warning of any sort while attempting to comply with the standing policy. Such actions as this while giving the place a definite point of note seriously need to be considered. Some individuals who would have such a thing done to them wouldn't hesitate a second to assault someone coming at them with a set of shears unexpectedly or clariffication. Needless to say I grabbed the remains of my vaunted tie and immediately left the establishment a bit wiser and more than a bit insulted at the lack of basic courtesy. Had I been asked I would have gladly removed the tie rather than have it unexpectedly sliced from below my chin without warning.

Several months later I returned wearing levis and a t-shirt and enjoyed one of the best steaks in Tucson I've had since moving to this city of the west.

Dinner AND a Show!. Take our visitors every time we have some. There is a really cool show outside before dinner, a walk-through old timey "town," gift shops, candy shop that sells older types of candy & AWESOME fudge, plus the restaurant itself is pretty cool. The service is pretty good, plus the whole "no tie" thing makes it fun for the kiddies (I won't ruin it with details, but have your kid go in wearing an old tie...they'll love it!). The food was okay, my husband loves the steak but I find it a little better than something you'd make yourself. The show is free, they take donations, but it has awesome special effects, and is quite comical. I'd definently recommend this as a show off spot for out of towners.

Best steak in town.. Been going there since before it burned down in the 70"s. Love it, Great place to stroll after dinner. Best steaks in town.

Good food. The food was good but the place is busy and way to many children are allowed in. If you do not mind an abunance of children while you are enjoying your food you will have a good time.

It is worth going to at least once to experience the atmosphere and try something different.

great for the kids. i love pinnacle peak because they have a great atmosphere for kids or out of towners who want to get a sense of what old tucson is really like. they have great menu items as well, really something for everyone.

Used to be the Best Steak in Tucson. Steak in Tucson meant only ONE place. Pinnacle Peak Steakhouse. I don't know what happened but everyone In my family has said..its NOT good anymore. They used to cook your steak the way YOU wanted and the steak was always tender and juicy. I hope they get back whatever they lost...weather the cook's, customer service or what...Please Pinnacle Peak Steakhouse bring it back to light, it has been a Tucson Landmark since I was little. Now all the other steak houses are worse!.

Good steak and fun atmosphere. If you have family in town or if you need to feed a large group you need to visit Pinnacle Peak. There are shows and entertainment while you wait to pass the time. If you go on a weekend be prepared to wait, sometimes an hour. If you have an appatite and want the big porterhouse the offer, you need to get in early beause the sell out all the time. The menu is simple and sometimes the service is slow but the atmosphere makes up for it.
