The food from the menu is great, don't do the buffet.
All these negative reviews are people who went to eat at the buffet. A lot of people when they go to Chinese Restaurants end up going to the buffet if there is one, or ordering something inane like sesame chicken or mongolian beef. If you're this type, then there are better places that serve Mongolian beef.
Customers have the option of getting a buffet or ordering off of the menu. If you see any of their Chinese customers...they order from the menu. Perhaps they're onto something.
The food from the menu is probably the best combination of taste and affordability. I've been eating there for 10 years. They have great tasting vegetarian dishes, like the Golden Mushroom and Bean Curd. I went with a party of 8 and order 6-7 dishes for around 50 dollars and it was good.
Their Duck is good, though I would recommend Old Peking for Duck in Tucson. However the rest of their dishes and soups are pretty tasty.

The place is not a good place to eat.
Have you been there lately? I was there on 21 Jun 2009 and, as my previous experience there shows, the food is still rather stale like it has been left out all day. There is visible "debris" on mist all of the air vents, the statue behind the fish tank (the one with the dirty water in it), was about covered in what I think was dust (thick layer of it), and had a unknown substance on it's base.
The food was cold, the "service", if that's what they call it, was terrible and one of the staff (the cashier) was verbally abusive. I also noted from the Health Department Website that they apparently haven't been inspected in about two years. Maybe it's time for the inspectors to take an unannounced look at that dunp.
