One of the city's best-kept secrets, this South Side brewery is the home of Nimbus beer.. The Scene
Named for the founder, not the clouds, this faceless warehouse is a palace of housing brewing machines, a makeshift bar, and enough rummage-sale furniture to seat several dozen patrons. You'll find signature brews, including an Oatmeal Stout and Palo Verde Pale Ale, an eclectic range of live music from punk to bluegrass and a full menu or burgers, chicken and other American fare.

Nimbus is Best in the West. I have no idea who those people reviewing Nimbus get off rating the place as average. The brewery is what it is and there is nothing else like it anywhere in Arizona or in the west for that matter. Talk about clueless people running around in Southern Arizona. They must have been exposed to too much sun. The atmosphere is great. The food is great. And the beer is just about the best a beer lover could find anywhere in the country. Anyone that knows anything about beer knows what I am saying is true. Keep on Brewing Nimbus! Keep those people that know nothing about beer out of the place. Their comments written in review go to show just how stupid some people are. Hail Nimbus! Hail Nimbus! Hail Nimbus! Get your brewery downtown too!

You might not be worthy yet, but there is hope.. Rated by a pro brewer in Seattle. Living the Meca of American brewpubs where it all started I can say with confidance that the products of this brewery are above the taste palet of the Sonoran Desert region. Its not that COLD here and you don't need a kick you in the ass, hopped out (+100 IBU) to all get out brew. Its all about the beer. Who cares if you dont meet your life mate here, unless it is in a chilled glass. And who cares if the music is good. Thank the Gods that you got this stuff here. Remember, THINKIN AINT DRINKIN so SHUT UP AND DRINK! Blessed be.

User review by lolabean5. I am SO confused as to how this got ranked as a romantic restaurant! It's a warehouse with a bar and a fun live band scene, but more for a group of friends out for the night than a date. Let's try to get our atmosphere straight. . . .

Does not live up to rating. Nimbus is grungy with a 40+ blue collar crowd. You must push your way through to get your own table, and then to the bar to order your own food and drinks. The food is greasy, but OK. The beer was alright, but I have had better microbrews. It is clearly overrated in these reviews unless there is something I missed...

THEY MUST HAVE A CONTACT TO GIVE SUCH A RATING. WHILE THIS IS A NEAT PLACE TO GO IF YOU ENJOY BREW, THEIR FOOD IS ALWAYS RATED HIGH. THEIR STEAKS ARE RATED THE BEST IN TUCSON. THEIR PIZZA THE BEST IN TUCSON EVERY FOOD ITEM IS RATED THE BEST. BOTTOM LINE IS THEIR MENU IS LIMITED AND THE FOOD IS VERY AVERAGE. BEST WAY TO PUT IT IS THEY HAVE A SPORTS BAR MENU. NOTHING MORE. THEIR BEER IS GREAT.

Nimbus=Overrated. While I am the first to give praise where it is due, and I'm the first to love a great brewery, I am NOT impressed by much of anything at Nimbus. Their selection of brews was acceptable, but by no means was it outstanding. Service was iffy, and I would not recommend Nimbus for anything other than a quick lunch, or a snack. Dining it is not.
