Fabulous, affordable food, but get there early. With the bar expanded and a nice new waiting area, La Parrilla Suiza has made it easier to wait for your table if you don't arrive early enough to be seated right away. Service is generally efficient and competent, and the food is just wonderful- and inexpensive! I think their priciest meal is $12.99, and you're guaranteed to be full to bursting if you finish it all. Beef is their strong point, it's lean and very, very tasty- chicken and pork can be a little insipid (and could be a personal bias). Their chips and salsa can't be beat- the chips are made in-house and are thin, tasty, and crunchy, and the trio of salsas gives you a can't-lose choice. The only drawbacks are the noise level (it can get REALLY loud) and the wait for a table at dinnertime, especially on weekends. Their margaritas are nice and strong, and they have a good variety of flavored margaritas, too.

Great authentic Mexican. My wife & I ate there last week, Very tasty authentic Mexican food. Prices very reasonable, service was ok. Give it a try,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

La comida es muy bueno en todo el mundo!!. No eatry is perfect. But if you like a decent meal of mexican mexico city style food, this is it! Sure, you have to wait if you go at busy hours, but thats the price you pay to get something worth it.

# 31 chuletas. How does a juicy pork steak fried and encased between two flour tortillas and melted cheese sound? It's # 31 on the menu and my favorite!

Every time I've ordered it, the meat has ALWAYS been juicy and tender.

The "charro" beans have delicious bacon flavor

and the rice is like no other mexican restaurant's version of rice here in Tucson that I have ever tasted. It's smooth with a hint of lemon and saffron. I wish I had the recipe!

The price is pretty low for the food and quality you receive.

My only suggestion:

I wish they'd sell Sangria Senorial Soda!

GREAT ALL AROUND. The Food, service from all personel, our comfort were all addressed. The meal was pleasant, not so hot that it was not enjoyable. The atmosphere was upbeat and fast paced but to be expected with the amount of guests being served. Great and we highly recomend it. Keep up the excellant work. We have enjoyed their services many times.

NOT NICE. While Dineing with a group we were treated poorly. When we asked to be moved to a different table away from the cold air coming out of the fire place,the waiters were very rude. As we were leaving we asked for the manager. All of a sudden no one spoke english.

Real Mexican Food. This restaurant has real mexican food, not like the other americanized mexican food restaurants, this is one of the few places that serves "queso fundido" (melted cheese), which if your are a cheese lover, you gotta try it, you'll love it.

Mexico City style. Great carne asada. Plates including queso fundido, enchiladas suizas or chilaquiles are good choices.

Cheese Appitizer. Yes! The food is great and you can't beat bottomless ships and salas...but if you go, and you enjoy cheese...you MUST try the cheese appitizer! It is sinful goodness! And don't worry about any calories or fat, they have removed them all so ENJOY...lol Fajitas for two are highly recommended for an entree.

Let me also say that if it's a weekend, you should plan on @ 30 min a wait, cause they stay pretty busy.
