dress accordingly. Dive bar is a understatement. the PBR is cheap though. Great place to pick a fight.
Best in t town. The best bar in tucson great bartenders meg great juke box shuffleboard table regulars vary from ol timers to college kids. Unique no place like it. More tolerable since no smoking law went into effect but i would go anyway always memorable
Words cannot describe this dive bar. It is the perfect way to relax after a long never ending night shift. For early morning debrievement you must visit this place.. Peggy is delightful and makes a mean bloodymary. For what ever your liver craves, the Buffet will fullfill that craving. You might even get a free drink ticket.
Theres no place like home. ok folks.. they have lots of character, great atmosphere, and HAPPY MINUTE!! It may be smoky, and crowded but its a bar! I love reading the walls, and they even have a shuffleboard table! Gotta try their buffalo sweat if you've never been there before.. and the rattlesnake eggs. This place has everything.. i love it.
The best oldest bar in Tucson!!!. Aaaahhhh The Buffet. . . This is the best bar in Tucson. I've been going since my 21st birthday and that was several years ago. The bartenders are great and so are the door guys!! And how can you not love HAPPY MINUTE!!!!!!
A mix of straightforward drinking fun and an intense alcoholic experience..
The Scene:
This dive bar remains a favorite among all kinds of fun-loving folks who know they can go home and sleep in a clean bed when they leave the Buffet. Slack-jawed frat boys cram into the Buffet's shanty-like interior many nights, but that doesn't scare away the diehard drinkers who seem physically attached to the stools. The Buffet, in many ways, is a test of self-control. Too many times tipsy patrons take advantage of hot dog specials, pickled eggs, and enormous Coors drafts only to later take advantage of the sidewalk outside. The Buffet is also the home of the Yard of Beer, presented on the day to a lucky birthday boy or girl.
Must Have Drinks:
Coors.
I smell a drunk coming on!.
The title is an actual quote from a Buffet patron by the name of Big John. This bar is the absolute best place to go mid afternoon with about 10 bucks in your pocket. Several Jumbos and a hot dog later I often find myself enjoying amorous displays of affecton from large Native American women.
At night the place gets crowded with college kids who are just learning how to abuse alchohol....it gets real obnoxious but there's always some real pretty girls to perve out on.
believe it or not this place will lift your spirits if you can tolerate the smell of cig smoke......the buffet is a magnet for some sad cases and somehow these folks have made this place into their charming yet dysfuctional living room.
The dish on the dive. The buffet is a typical dive bar with nothing unique to offer.
