Health department needs to go here.. One of the most unclean restaurants I have ever been in. Most people don't look in the kitchen, but I took a peek and it looked like they had several food fights in a few days and never bothered to clean it. There was still food remnants on my silverware. Not to mention a bathroom that probobly has not seen a rag or mop since its opening. After seeing these things, I immediately stopped eating and payed my bill and got the heck out of there. It is simply just an unsafe place to eat...

CALL FIRST. I was in Tucson for the day and checked online to see if the Bum Steer, I remembered from a number of years ago, was still here. It had a great review from last April so we drove over for dinner and found it closed. It has a sign out front advertising it as available for purchase. Too bad because I remember it as a nice fun place to go. Hopefully someone will purchase it and reopen it.

Great Fun. This place is a blast. The food is great and the staff are friendly. Fun for adults and kids. Let the kids play games while the adults kick back. Reminds me of a Dave and Busters, but with a little more creativity.

the new bum steer. the bum steer is now reopen under new ownership. there have been many wonderfull changes including a remodeling of the bar, restrooms, and kitchen. there's still STUFF hanging everywhere and an old school arcade featuring favorates like pinball, pacman, and nfl blitzz. the food is still wonderfull, and the people friendly. if you see the dancing steer out on stone ave, you simply must come check this place out. i'v even heard a rumor that when the third level reopens, there will be a dueling piano bar.

Not the same. Waaahhh what a sad return. I have been back to the Bum Steer with some friends from out of state to show them a Tucson icon. We ordered our food and when it came out I was greatly disappointed it was not the same. The food was horrible what happened we ask the server. We got told that the ownership has change. It was very clear that they are cutting corner where they can. I will for sure not return.

Bum Steer. I really miss that resturant and want to know when Bum steer resturants be opened. We really miss that and look at the sign kept saying closing! If you open now or when you will be open. The food was delicious and their display really fanastic.

This Tuscon institution's hefty burgers and penny pints reel in poor college kids with their laundry money in hand.. The Scene
A University of Arizona tradition is a burger and brew at the venerable Bum Steer. No bar in Tucson can rival its three floors jammed with WWI canons, deer heads, car doors, pitchforks and assorted debris. Music can get a little loud with patrons shimmying across the small dance floor, but it's always fun. Have the kids with you? An assortment of arcade games keeps the youngsters busy.

The Food
Since the Steer's opening in 1974, the half-pound burgers have filled the tummies of college kids on a budget with penny pints washing them down. Loads of beers on tap and a full menu of steaks, chicken and finger foods have earned the loyalty of the locals.

what a burger. The Bum Steer has the best burger in Tucson. This is the only place where you can get a "Jiffy Burger"

a half pound burger with melted jack cheese bacon and peanut butter. Lets not forget the wings. During football season they have .25cent wings on the weekends and during Mon. Night Football
