AVOID ON A EARLY SUNDAY MORNING OR ANY DAY! Lazy Service, and Lazy Manager.
I think that the Parrilla Suiza on SPEEDWAY IS MUCH BETTER, the staff and management is professional.
If you open your business at a certain posted time, than you should certainly be ready for customers and business.
We sat for a good 10 minutes after the business opened, no one approached us as they walked back and forth past our table. All the servers were too busy sitting down filling up the salt, sugar packets and hugging each other as a new person arrived for their shift.
Even as I flagged someone down for water, she said that she would get it, and continued on with filling her sugar packets.
When I told the manager what had taken place-
his response was filled with excuses that everyone was late, and that they needed to refill the sugars and salt which has been cleaned out the night before. I have been in the industry over 20 years and that is pretty poor management and customer service. I've had better at cheap diners. Fire everyone if they can't do their job, including the manager!
Perhaps the owner should get a clue, and be present to get his restaurant in order.
This is not the first time an incident like this has happened at this location.
I won't eat here anymore!

Good service.
We have taken family to this restaurant and they have enjoyed the food. The food is a bit on the bland side for my tastes; however, it is good and I found the prices to be extremely fair to the size of the portions.
I recommend giving this restaurant a try.

Best Mexican ever!.
Everyone I know loves this place!! They have 3 kinds of salsa which are all delicious. The enchiladas are the best I've had and the salsa verde can't be beat. I was once disappointed in the margaritas, but that was my only disappointment and I've been there probably 50 times. Everything is freshly made and couldn't be better. The beans are the best I've ever had! The cheese they use is a blend of 3 kinds: Jack, Mozzarella, and a secret one. This combo is to die for! Quite delicious. You can get the queso appetizer which is a plate of this melted cheese served with tortillas. It is not to be missed if you're a cheese lover! If you're only going to visit one Mexican restaurant in Tucson, then make it La Parilla Suiza!

GREAT FOOD.
My first visit to La Parilla was in 1991 on a visit to friends living in Tucson. I was thoroughly charmed by the friendly staff and the happy atmosphere. I returned every time I visited Tucson and found it always to be a fun experience. Since we've moved here 5 years ago, this is one of our favorite restaurants--one of the best.

What's with that?.
I have been to La Parilla several times. Not so much because I think their food is the best (it's definitely hit and miss), it's just conveniently located for lunch break. What I don't understand is the snobbish attitude of ALMOST every waiter/waitress there (there are a couple of exceptions). It's as if they can hardly bring themselves to speak to you or acknowledge your request. The "water and chip" boy won't even look at you and sweeps by your table before you can get any request in. I swear he's perfected this move! And after delivering your order they become "missing in action". The service definitely detracts from an otherwise so-so meal.
