What People Are Saying About La Fuente Restaurant & Lounge

In Short – La Fuente is a tourist restaurant that is tasty enough for locals to enjoy. It boasts some of Tucson's best Mexican food, and there are no disappointments anywhere on the menu. Try the Pastel Azteca for a unique layered dish, and the fresh-made salsa is equally delicious. La Fuente also features traditional Mexican music, and where dramatic mariachi groups perform on a small central stage before walking through the restaurant serenading individual tables. –

Mediocre Mexican food at $8.50 lunch buffet

by FRUGALCUSTOMER at Citysearch

Lunch buffet is reasonably priced at $8.50+tax+tip but food is mediocre. There was quite a variety but food was insipid and not warm. Mexican restaurant with colorful decorations but food quality leaves much to be desired.

BE AWARE

by dyanez at Citysearch

BE AWARE if you use any type of coupon or certificate you will be charged full price for your drinks during their Happy Hour. Happy Hour and any type of certificate or coupon can not be combined with the discount of ordering food. The manager will not negotiate even though Happy Hour and your coupon or certificate indicate discount for food only. So go somewhere else for Happy Hour and then use your discount coupon or certificate for dinner.

Rip Off

by fever4food at Citysearch

Among the worst Mexican restaurants in Tucson. Subpar food and overpriced. Attention! Don't Be Fooled By Their Coupons! You'll still pay too much for the "not so good" food. Ugly pink building on the south end of Oracle Rd. That's the shady end of Oracle for those unfamiliar with the area.

Charming atmosphere

by m0507 at Citysearch

La Fuente is a nice place to go with friends for a casual, tasty dinner that is not over-priced. I enjoyed the live performances that accompanied dinner. The interior was charming, with the hanging plants and ethnic decorations. The customer service was excellent, and I could tell that they aimed to please. The food was nothing extraordinary, but it was definitely good for the price. I liked the enchiladas. The salsa was excellent. I recommend it-but not if you are looking for a four diamond, gourmet restaurant.

  • Pros: Quick Seating, Ambience
  • Cons: The Restaurant could use some repairs to the paint, floor, and they could get new tablecloths
