The Scene
The small dining room with its murals of the Guatemalan countryside rings with the sounds of traditional music while the outdoor patio offers the opportunity for quiet conversation. Folk art including masks and dolls decorate the walls alongside colorful photos of Mayan ruins and the people of Guatemala.
The Food
Guatemalan cuisine is similar to Mexican but milder, even a little sweet. Taking a cue from the early Mayans, the menu focuses on vegetables whether it's to accent meat dishes or stand on their own. Chiles rellenos are stuffed with Monterey Jack cheese and a mixture of spinach and walnuts. Beets add an earthy taste to the unusual but tasty enchiladas. Tender chicken is bathed in a piquant cream sauce and served with lots of veggies. The specialty rice has a winning combination of rice, cheese, corn and sour cream.

This little place is located on 4th ave and it has some great great authentic guatemalan food! I had the beans with chicken enchilada. IT was fabulous. I recommend getting the special rice, it was the most flavorful rice I have ever had. I have never tasted anything like it. The service was great, the little women who serve you are so sweet and are from Guatemala. Check this place out.

Delicious Drinks:
Forgo your usual coke-the drinks are just as good as the main course. The homemade, rice-based horchata is scented with cinnamon and vanilla. The hibiscus-flavored tea, jamaica, is deliciously refreshing.
