a best buy entry of mine won a $1,000 gift card. on may 3rd i recieved a text stating that my best buy entry won for the month of April a $1,000 best buy gift card. I'm still very excited about the great new,s i can hardly believe that i finally got lucky for once in my life.I am on a fixed income which i am barely making do with a roof over my head and streaching my food budget very thin to last the entire month. i can't afford a hd t.v. so i just listen to a small boombox that my older sister passed on to me. But i can't seem to goto the best buy web page to claim my prize the $1,000 best buy gift card by entering the WINNING CODE i was given . Please tell me what to do now, and i hope this is'nt a prank being pulled on me by BEST BUY...THAT WOULD BE SO VERY VERY SAD

Liars, Cheats and Thieves.. Bought a brand new lap top from Best Buy and paid an extra $100 to "optimize" it. Learned 1.5 weeks later that the computer had a short (i.e. it was a lemon) and tried to return it. They wouldn't refund the $100, despite their assurances that I'd be able to. SO, I purchased the protection plan (outrageously priced) and asked them to fix it. DESPITE their assurances that the protection plan covered everything, they told me that it would be EXTRA $ to fix the computer! Not only that, but it would take around 2 weeks. What student (in law school, nonetheless) can afford to be without her laptop for 2 weeks? $1000 dollars (for a $450 laptop) and weeks of angst later, all I really want to do is set the place on fire. Shame on you, Best Buy, and your customer service and geek squad representatives who defraud customers so willingly.

Geek Squad should be ashamed. Not only are the Geek Squad members at this location under educated, they also lack any ability to think critically, problem solve or communicate. In addition the are overworked and functioning in a poorly run store over all. Don’t bother taking your computer here, find another repair place. The Geek Squad here will lie to you, loose your computer, and not know or be willing to do simple things like a work around for a lost password. We have taken our computers here for years and it has always been a poor experience, but we didn’t think we had other options so we stuck it out. These last 2 months with incompetence, 40min plus waits on both the phone and in line as well as complete and utter incompetence and laziness from management, staff and techs has resulted in Best Buy loosing our business for ever. We will never go back and I regret giving tem my business in the first place. Buyer beware, this has resulted in lost work time and school time for my family, hundreds of dollars for Best Buy not honoring agreements as well as a potential small claims litigation.

A virtual Mecca for gear heads, this electronics giant hawks everything from booming sound systems to notebook-sized personal computers.. In Short
Founded in 1983, this high-tech haven is recognizable by its blue, box-like building stamped with a yellow price tag-shaped logo. Explore the wide, gadget-lined aisles and find brand-name goods including personal computers, video games, TVs, digital cameras, cell phones and fax machines. Choose from a slew of popular brands such as Canon, Microsoft, Samsung and Sony. In-house installation services are available for most car audio and video systems, home entertainment systems, satellite hook-up, and home appliances.
