Fast, fresh Mexican specialties and a signature salsa bar are the hallmarks of this restaurant chain..
In Short
Founded in 1979 in Los Angeles, La Salsa has grown into a chain of quick-serve, taqueria-style restaurants. Specializing in soft-shell tacos and other Mexican favorites, the restaurant's hallmark is its salsa bar that allows customers to choose their toppings. Menu offerings include a variety of fish, meat and veggie tacos, plus burritos, quesadillas and salads. Entree-sized meal platters--like the enchilada plate or three-pepper fajita platter--come with rice, beans, chips and salsa.
Great mexican food!!!. La salsa is great, the steak there is fabulous, and so are the salsas. another thing i enjoyed was their cinamon chips.
Enormous burrito El Champion.
The best in fast food mexican restaurants that you will find anywhere. The food is fresh and that fresh salsa bar is beyond excellent. The El Champion chicken burrito rivals is superior to most of the highly touted Tucson restaurants, especially for the price.
The best habanero salsa you will ever have. Yes, it is hot but the flavor of the habanero salsa is the best I have had in North or South America.
Great Choices. Best Burritos around. Build your own Burrito or salad. Great selection of American Mexican food. Choices of very mild to hot meets everyones likes. Always very busy.
Not enough food for your money.. Don't get me wrong, the food is great. They use quality meats and fresh everything... But if I'm going to pay 7-9$ for a burrito, I expect it to be big! The burrito was smaller than the 3-4$ burritos you get elsewhere... I understand it's better quality but common! I can get a great quality meal for 7-9$ at a sit down restaurant! This is fast food!
No cheaper than a sitdown restaurant!. La Salsa has great food and great service. Only problem is, it costs just as much to eat there, as, say, Casa Molina 100 meters away. An enchilada dinner with a drink for $9 is pretty high even for a nice sit-down Mexican restaurant. In fact, lunch for two has rung up higher than similar dinner for two at a much nicer restaurant. I just don't get it.
good anytime. we eat here at least 2 times a week, always fresh and flavorful, staff friendly and efficient--the kids love it and its fast but good, not as cheap as taco bell but many times better.
Great cheap food. I really love the burritos here--they're huge! And the fresh salsa bar is the best in town. I love the simple decor, too. It's a great place to eat in company or alone, with a book or newspaper. Just a very comfortable, good place.
