Built in the old Carnegie Library downtown, the Children's Museum is now a place where no one has to whisper or behave..
History:
The Tucson Children's Museum is full of hands-on exhibits and displays that teach kids about the world around us. Pint-sized patrons can try on firefighters' helmets in the firehouse, learn about energy distribution in the electricity exhibit, find out how people in various cultures live and play, and make their own projects in crafts or science-activity classes, most of which are held on the weekend. The Tucson Children's Museum may not be as high-tech or as famous as more strictly science-oriented museums, but it offers plenty of ways to use up energy from your own pre-pubescent perpetual-motion machines.
Don't Miss:
The museum offers kids the perfect opportunity to dress up and paint their faces.
