This mid-day escape offers more than the Mexican fare you may expect to find at an old adobe oasis.. The Scene


Old Town Artisans, a block of restored adobes, is where local shopkeepers purvey fine Southwestern arts, clothing and jewelry. Inside the oasis-like courtyard, this quaint restaurant and cantina bursts with colorful Old Mexico touches. Vibrant greens, reds and purples make the dining room a lively lunch spot. The yellow cabinets of the Two Micks Cantina call attention to a large collection of fine tequilas.



The Food


Mexican flavors appear on the menu, but don't dominate it. Seasonal dishes focus on beef, chicken, and seafood with a nice variety of sandwiches, soups, and salads offered as alternatives. The monstrous mesquite-grilled burgers are stacked with green chiles, guacamole or cheese as you build your own burger. Beef and chicken fajitas come with all the fixings, but for extra zip, order the Southwest Chicken fajitas seasoned with chiles.
