Part restaurant, part bar, Irene's serves up South American food in one of Tucson's best locations.. The Scene:
Since the closure of art landmark Cafe Magritte, Irene's has filled the gap with its South American/Peruvian dishes. Low-key music fills the bar on weekends; regular house band Cosmic Touch is one of Tucson's best-kept secrets, mixing traditional funk, smooth soul, and multi-rhythmic percussion. A nifty railed patio right on Congress is a nice place to be seen and watch others during the area's regular Downtown Saturday Night events.

Must Have Drinks:
Beer from south of the border.

dance dance dance. Once you hit downtown you know you have it irenes. The outside grill is a selling point to all that pass by. You really cannot go to far by without stopping and contemplating a taste of whatever was a cooking. The drinks are great and the food compariable to the hot latina women getting sexy on the dance floor.
